Test theory:

The cantilever impact testing machine uses the principle of energy conservation, that is, the energy consumed by the impact sample is the potential energy difference before and after the pendulum test. A sample supported as a vertical cantilever beam by a pendulum with known energy is used to measure the energy absorbed when the sample is damaged. (the impact line is a fixed distance from the specimen fixture, and for notched specimens, the impact line is a fixed distance from the notch centerline.)
